John J. Whitehead, Sr.

On December 24, 2010 of Barrington, NJ age 93 yrs. Beloved husband of 64 yrs to Ruth D. (nee Rivel). Devoted father of Elaine Holmes (Halsey), John J., Jr. (Peggy), Shirley Whitehead, and Bonnie Rodilosso (Merl). Loving grandfather of David, Mark, John, III, Stephen, Andrew, and Kevin. Great-grandfather of Rylie. Dear brother of Robert Riggins (Anna). Prior to retirement, John was an active member of Plumbers Local 322 for over 50yrs. He was a longtime resident of Barrington, where he enjoyed doing plumbing projects for many of the local residents and businesses. Mr. Whitehead served as President of the Rhythm Rollers Skating Club as well as a Coach for the Barrington Girls Softball League. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday morning from 10am to 11am at the POPIOLEK FUNERAL HOME, 400 Clements Bridge Rd, Barrington, NJ, where a Funeral Service will follow at 11am.
