Cmd. Sgt. Maj. Anthony J. Teti, Sr.

On November 25, 2011, surrounded by his loving family, of Barrington, NJ age 83yrs. Beloved husband of the late Dolores J. (nee Benigno). Devoted father of Susan Teti-Finnegan (Michael), Anthony J. Teti, Jr. (Clara), Debra L. Fitzgerald (Thomas), and Stephen J. Teti. Loving grandfather of Ashley, Jason, Jordan, Jillian, Dylan, and Vincent. Great-grandfather of Tyler, Mia, and Jonas. Dear brother of Joseph, Gloria, John and Anna. Anthony proudly served a distinguished career of over 40yrs in the U.S. Army Special Forces Airborne attaining the rank of Command Sgt. Major and earned the Soldiers Medal for Valor. Anthony was employed with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia or over 35yrs retiring as Director of Plant Operations. He was born and raised in South Philadelphia, and longtime resident of Barrington, NJ where he served on the Barrington Borough Council. He was an active member of the Philadelphia Building Superintendents Assoc., Building Owners & Managers Assoc., Sons of Italy, Fort Dix Retirement Council, the 82nd Airborne Assoc., 11th Special Forces Assoc., FEMA, and was a Eucharist Minister and longtime Parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church. Anthony was the recipient of the Volunteer of the Year of Our Lady of Lourdes Med. Ctr. He enjoyed spending time with his family, coin collecting and traveling. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday eve from 7 to 9PM and again on Thursday morning from 8:15 to 9:15am at the POPIOLEK FUNERAL HOME, 400 Clements Bridge Rd, Barrington, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am in St. Joachim Parish, Annunciation Church, 601 W. Browning Rd., Bellmawr. Interment with Military Honors New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
