(Nee Carpenter) On March 1, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer, of Barrington, NJ age 67 yrs. Survived by her husband William. Devoted mother of Barbara Haubois, Harry “Butch” Holwell (Rose), Gloria Kohl (Jim), Thomas Holwell (Jill), Brenda Labine (Josh), Beth Tabako (Joe), and Belinda Bunting. Dear sister of Phyllis Carpenter. Loving grandmother of 22 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Affectionately known as Miss Barb, she was the owner of Little V.I.P’s Daycare for over 25 yrs, she was a longtime resident of Barrington where she was member of the Civic Association, Drug Alliance, and a leader of the former Brownie Troop. Barb was also an active member of the Barrington First Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deaconess and Elder as well as a Sunday and Vacation Bible School teacher. Barb also served as President of the Haddon Heights Band Auxiliary and the Mothers of Twins Organization. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday evening from 6 to 9 PM and again on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 11am at the POPIOLEK FUNERAL HOME, 400 Clements Bridge Rd, Barrington, NJ where a Funeral Service will follow at 11am.
