Margaret Mary Joan (nee Edel) Culbertson, 92, of Ligonier, (formerly of Barrington, NJ) passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 in the Bethlen Home. She was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Mae Rose and Joseph Victor Francis Edel, and the beloved wife of the late George W. Culbertson III. She was preceded in death by a sister Isabel Kelly and a brother Joseph Victor Edel. Devoted mother of Sandra Rosen (deceased husband John), Philadelphia PA, George Thomas Culbertson (Nancy) of Tinton Falls NJ, Robert Michael Culbertson (Joan) of Laurel Springs NJ, Bonnie Marie Hoffman (William) of Ligonier PA and Margaret Rose Fritz (Stephen) of Columbia PA. Grandmother of ten and great grandmother of ten. “Margie” was a homemaker and proud recipient of an Associate Degree from Camden County Community College, Blackwood NJ at the age of 61. Hobbies included a keen interest in science, sewing, reading, piano, painting and square dancing with good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 10 to 11:30 am at the Popiolek Funeral Home, 400 Clements Bridge Road, Barrington, NJ. A service will be held at 11:30 am at the funeral home with the Reverend Stephen P. Fritz officiating. Private interment will take place beside her beloved husband George at the Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.
