Mary Carl Hamilton (Missy) 91, Born Feb 2, 1926, passed away at home on March 10, 2017, surrounded by her family. Survived by her children: Pitt Alexander (Ana), Fletcher Perry (Michele), Spencer Bedford (Paula) & Elizabeth Ross Catts (Ed). Her beloved grandchildren: Steven Volpe (Amanda), Jason Volpe (Trish), Elizabeth Volpe, Pitt Hamilton Jr, Carl Hamilton, Katilyn Compton, Steven Hamilton and her great granddaughter Ana Maria. Missy grew up in Bronxville, N.Y., graduating Connecticut College, she went on to become one of the first female outside representatives for the New York Telephone Company. After living in Greenwich Village and traveling the world she settled in Haddonfield N.J. to raise her family. Her main joy in life was raising her children, but she opened her heart and home to all family and friends. A wiz at the New York Times crossword puzzle and Jeopardy, she also enjoyed good scotch ,was an avid reader, loved watching sports, knitting and cooking. Missy was especially known for “the best breakfast “ including pounds of her bacon, at every holiday. She passed on her wisdom, grace and sense of humor to everyone around her. A Life Celebration will be held at her home by the family on Saturday March 18th starting at 1pm, 1241 Oakwood Road Haddonfield, N.J. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Samaritan Hospice.
