Barbara T. Lane

(nee Thompson) of Haddonfield, NJ, formerly of Wayne, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, age 96 years. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Lane. Devoted mother of Tom (Susan) Lane and Judy (Joe) Sikora. Dear grandmother of Tim (Samantha) Lane, Julia (Kyle) Martin, and Greg Sikora and Christine Sikora. Great-grandmother of Noah Lane and Ryan Lane. Barbara was born in Long Island, NY and was a longtime resident of Wayne. She earned a B.A. in Social Work from Farleigh Dickinson University. Prior to retirement, Barbara was an Administrative Assistant with the Wayne Township Board of Education. She volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children (CASA) for Passaic County to protect the best interests of abused or neglected children in the child welfare system. She was a member of Wayne Presbyterian Church as well as the Allentown Red Hat Society. In her leisure time, Barbara enjoyed playing golf and bridge.
