Catherine E. Payne

(nee O’Donnell) of Moorestown, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, age 84 years. Beloved wife of 62 years, and forever best friend, to Eugene J. Payne. Devoted mother of Steven Payne, Kathleen Gonzalez, Susan Payne, Daniel Payne, and Jennifer Cummiskey. Dear sister of Mary Patricia McCormick, and the late Thomas O’Donnell. Loving grandmother of Ryan, Connor, Donovan, Sarah, Lauren, Dominic, Christina, Gwendolyn, Logan, Shane, and Tyler and great-grandmother of Josephine, Theodore, and Benjamin. Catherine graduated from Little Flower High School, class of 1958. Her husband’s job required extensive travel throughout the country for their whole family, resulting in their residing in twelve states over their adventurous lives together. Although Catherine was a talented singer, artist, and professional caregiver, her true love was caring for her children and grandchildren and spending time with her big, boisterous family, surrounded by love, fun, and laughter.
