Claire E. Maiden-Szymanski

Passed away peacefully on September 4, 2021, age 95. The Lord gave Claire her final prayer to pass on while sleeping in her own bed with her son and daughter by her side. She was pre-deceased by her parents Josephine and Jan Szymanski and her son Harold E. Maiden, III, as well as her sisters Gertrude, Jeannie, Lillian, Annette and her brothers Matthew, Zygmont, Eugene, and Joseph and her best friend and confidant Linda Jalio. Claire is survived by her daughter Cynthia Land (Chet), her son Richard Maiden, and her grandchildren Brian and Michael, great-grandchildren Chase and Caitlyn. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and their children as well as many friends, neighbors and co-workers she met along her long life’s journey. Claire was a working and loving mom for her three children. She was an exceptional cook who relished serving her mother’s old polish recipes and loved to concoct some pretty special meals and deserts. Claire loved family gatherings, holidays, picnics outside on her patio and large backyard. She loved having many pet dogs and cats over the years and feeding the multitude of birds and critters who wandered into her yard. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 11am in Leverington Cemetery, Ridge & Lyceum Aves, Roxboro, PA.
