Elizabeth H. Murray

(nee Houck) On August 27, 2017 of South Harrison Twp, formerly of Barrington, NJ, age 89 yrs. Beloved wife of the late Donald F., Sr. Devoted mother of Donald F., Jr. (Paula), Deborah Heller (Christian), and Diane Murray (Richard Pressley). Loving grandmother of Donald, Erin (Robert), Lauryn, and Kirstyn. Mrs. Murray was born in Barrington where she lived and was active for over 72 yrs until moving to S. Harrison with her family. She was a proud graduate of Haddon Heights H.S. Class of 1946. Mrs. Murray was past president and longtime supporter of the HHHS Marching Band and Color Guard. Betty was a gifted musician and longtime member of the Barrington Band as well as a former organist for Ashland Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Pitman Hobo Band where she was known as “Betty Bells.” Mrs. Murray was an active member of the Richwood United Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed life to its fullest and was a firm believer in community volunteerism. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday morning from 10am at POPIOLEK FUNERAL HOME, 400 Clements Bridge Rd, Barrington, NJ, where a Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Interment Harliegh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.
