Emily L. Hogsten

(nee Kenders) Age 76, passed away peacefully after a brave fight with cancer on Friday, December 22, 2017. Predeceased by her mother & father (Lillian Faunce Kenders & Albert Kenders) and her brother and sister both from California (Albert Kenders, Jr. & Lillian (Suzie) Pfersich). Dedicated wife and mother and survived by her husband; Elmer Hogsten, Jr.; daughter & son-in-law, Heidi & Kevin Freeman. She is also survived by her 4 nephews and their families: John, Jeff, Bart & Peter.   Emily graduated from Haddon Heights High School in 1958 and worked for Travelers Insurance for a time. The focus of her life was her family and her zealous dedication to help others understand the full meaning of God’s love from the Bible. She loved people and enjoyed both the mountains and the beach. Vacationing with friends was always a highlight for her.   A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec 30 at 2 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 24 Chestnut Street, Berlin, NJ.
