Florence "Floss" Zane

(nee. Treuter) Formerly of Barrington, NJ, passed away on July 17, 2024, age 85 yrs. Beloved wife of the late William J. "Jack" Zane. Devoted mother of Elizabeth Pfeffer (Timothy). Dear sister of Lois A. Ream. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was born and raised in the Morgan Village section of Camden. Graduate of Camden High School Class of 1957. Floss was a resident of Barrington for over 30 years along with being an active member of the Barrington Community. She served as secretary of the Planning Board, two time president of the Barrington Women's Club,  and a member of the Barrington Girls Softball League Auxiliary. She was a member of the Culbertson and Woodland School PTA.  Additionally, Floss worked as a classroom aide for the Barrington Jr. Women's PreK; as well as a lunch aide at Culbertson School, and worked in the kitchen for Woodland School. Outside of Barrington, Floss was an active member of the Chews United Methodist Church. Her great pleasure was to deliver the Children's Message during Sunday Service.  In her leisure time, Floss enjoyed cooking and baking and was an arts & crafts mastermind. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 10am at Chew United Methodist Church, 319 N. Black Horse Pike, Glendora, NJ, where a Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11am.
