Gordon R. Speakman, Sr.

On July 19, 2018 of Barrington, NJ, age 89. Beloved husband of the late Louise (Bonnet). Devoted father of Gail Grandrino (Louis), Gordon, Jr. (Carolyn), and Gary (Kristen). Dear brother of Janice Germschied (Edward). Loving grandfather of Christopher, Daniel, Timothy, Peter, Olivia, Victoria and Matthew. Great-grandfather of Aubrey, Giulia, and Gabriella. Gordon was raised in the Brewerytown section of Philadelphia. He moved to Barrington in 1952 and became active in the community. He was a member and past president of the Barrington Volunteer Fire Company. He was a coach and past president of the Barrington Little League, served on the Barrington Borough Council and was a member of the former Barrington Lion’s Club. Gordon was also a member of the NJ Baker’s Board of Trade, S.J. Master Baker’s Assoc and the Brewerytown/Fairmount All Timers. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday 9 to 11am at the POPIOLEK FUNERAL HOME, 400 Clements Bridge Rd, Barrington, NJ, where a Funeral Service will follow at 11am.
