It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph A. Gross, Jr. on November 28, 2024 after a long and fulfilling life. Joe was born on April 11, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pa to Joseph A. & Mary T. (nee Grabowski) Gross. After graduating from Roman Catholic High School in 1958 he joined the United State Navy. Joe married the love of his life Franny on May 9th, 1959 during their 53 years of marriage they had only one daughter, Angel.

Joe spent quality time getting to know his Great -Grand Daughter Sienna Rose while enjoying the beach and fishing with his family. He loved the game of football as he played throughout high school and watched every Eagles game possible. He embodied the best qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit and an unending generosity. Joe loved his family and would make it a point to tell them that he loved and appreciated them as often as possible, most times with a hug and kiss. He was strong willed and stubborn at times but also had an enormous heart. Joe was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all his life experiences: fisherman, seaman, mechanic, project manager, contractor - he could fix anything. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity and strength and full of love for those who went before him. HE WILL BE MISSED DEARLY.

Loving Daddy to Angel, proud Poppy to Ashley Foster (Kevin) devoted G G Pop to Sienna Rose, Grandfather to Ryan (Michele) Great - Grandfather to Vincent. He is also survived by two loving sisters Carol Gross, Regina Whitcas. Also survived by many other family and friends. Joe is predeceased in death by his wife Frann, parents Joseph & Mary Gross, sister Mary Tellmann.
