Joseph P. Hayden, Sr.

Joe passed away February 5, 2020 after a brief illness.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife Elsie.  Joe is survived by his children, Paula Lynch (Brian) and Joseph Hayden, Jr. (Caryl), his grandchildren, Allyson, Clay, Olivia and Kassidy as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Joe was born and raised in the Brookland section of Washington D.C. where he met and married his wife.  They would move to Riverdale, Maryland in the early part of their marriage to raise their family.  Joe had a lifelong career with the Federal Government.  After both he and his wife retired, they moved to Millsboro, Delaware.  Following his wife's death, Joe moved to New Jersey to be closer to family.  Joe was a diehard Washington Redskin fan and a political news junkie.  Always quick witted, Joe provided family and friends with many funny memories.  Funeral Services will be held at a later date.  Joe will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandad and uncle.
