In Loving Memory of Kristen Hansen Jr. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kristen Hansen Jr., 81 Kristen peacefully went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of bravery, love, and cherished memories. Kristen was born to Sally and Kristen Hansen Sr., and was a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his brother Ronnie, son Kris III, daughter Jaime, grandchildren Kris IV, Emily, Kelly, Kailyn, Connor, and great-grandchild Rosella. Kristen's dedication to serving others extended beyond his family. He proudly served in the United States Navy, embodying the values of honor, courage, and commitment. After his military service, Kristen joined the New York City Fire Department. He retired after serving 25 years. His bravery and sacrifice will forever be remembered and honored. Outside of his duties as a firefighter, Kristen had a passion for RC hobbies. He loved flying RC planes, racing cars, and launching rockets with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing paddleball. These moments brought him immense joy and allowed him to share his love for adventure and exploration with his loved ones. Kristen's bravery and quick thinking were recognized by Chase Bank when he apprehended a thief who had robbed a teller. His heroic actions showcased his selflessness and dedication to keeping others safe. Kristen's courage was an inspiration to all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation. Kristen's battle with this disease highlighted his strength and resilience, and supporting this cause would honor his memory. Kristen Hansen Jr. was a brave firefighter, a loving family man, and a friend to many. His legacy of courage, compassion, and dedication will continue to inspire us all. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory forever be a blessing to those who knew and loved him.
