On June 21, 2020 of Vero Beach, Fl, formerly of Camden, NJ, age 42 yrs, Reymundo “Moondy” Gonzalez passed away unexpectedly. Moondy was the beloved son of Edmundo and Noemi Gonzalez. Loving companion of Rebecca Beckwith. Devoted father of Giovanni Rodriguez. Loving grandfather to Oliver. Dear brother of Noemi, Josue, Irene (Shawn), Ezequiel, Sarai (Sandy), Johnathan (Stephanie), and Sergio (Linda). He was born and raised in the Camden area prior to moving to Florida. Moondy and Rebecca spent 20 years together, their entire adult lives, she was his whole world and he was her rock. He wanted nothing more in life than to see her happy and make her smile. Rebecca’s family was an extension of his own and he loved every member, her mother Kathy, father Al, and siblings: Kim, Colleen, Nichole, Matt, Chris, Sara, and Elijah. He enjoyed fishing, sports, barbequing, food, music and monster trucks. He loved working on cars with his brother-in-law Ed, who was also his best friend. He was everyone’s favorite “fun Uncle Moondy” and loved his nieces and nephews unconditionally. He was our protector and he will continue watching us from Heaven. His family and loved ones meant everything in the world to him, his heart was bigger than most, filled with love, joy and happiness. Moondy was adored and loved by so many and always put himself last to help others, not a single person who met him did not form a bond with him from the start and love him immediately. Moondy was known for his kindness, generosity and selflessness and he will be loved and remembered always. He loved his job, he was contributing to saving the lives of hospital patients, by delivering critical emergency equipment to their doctors. He felt like he was doing his part to help the world and people in need. His sudden passing is a devastation to many but his laughter, memories and love will forever stay in our hearts. He will live on through each and every one of us, through the mannerisms that we’ve adopted from him, the things he taught us and the marks he left on our hearts and in our lives. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday from 10am to 11am at the POPIOLEK FUNERAL HOME, 400 Clements Bridge Rd, Barrington, NJ, where a Funeral Service will follow at 11am. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers please send donations in Reymundo’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. To express condolences please visit www.njfuneralhome.net.
