Sr. Regina Lafferty, F.D.N.S.C.

Sr. Regina Lafferty, Daughter of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, died peacefully at St. Francis de Sales Convent on June 6, 2021, surrounded by her loving community. Born in Co. Donegal, Ireland, Sr. Regina was one of eight predeceased children born to the late John and Sarah Lafferty. She is survived by several loving nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews both in Ireland and the United States. Sr. Regina ministered for 65 years in the United States. She taught in St. Francis de Sales School in Barrington, NJ, Transfiguration School, Collingwood, NJ, Connelsville, PA, Cheltenham, PA and Our Lady of Peace, Alabama. Sr. Regina had a special calling to minister to the poor, the elderly and the sick of the parishes in which she served. Relatives, friends, and religious are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday 10am at St. Joachim Parish, Annunciation Church, 601 W. Browning Rd, Bellmawr, NJ. Interment will follow at New St. Mary’s Cemetery. At Sr. Regina’s request there will not be any public viewing.
